Here is my new favorite goodie, so filling & satisfying, you’d sware they were “baked”. So far I’ve had rave reviews from people, even those who can eat wheat and regular baked goodies. These puppies are full of good fiber & nutrients, they will keep you going all day!
Big Raw Cinnamon Roll:
My own original recipe:
- 1 cup ground flax seed (use a coffee grinder)
- 3 – 4 green apples (pureed) optional: peeled
- 6 medjool dates
- 2 cups dried coconut
- 1 cup raisins
- 1 tbsp cinnamon
- 2 vanilla beans
- pinch sea salt
Mix together all ingredients. You can use the food processor to help mix dates into coconut, then mix everything together in a big bowl. Form 9 rolls with your hands, building up sides on each one, so that no part of the roll is thicker than 1.25″ inches. Dehydrate rolls overnight at 115*F.
Icing:
- 1/4 cup coconut butter
- 1/2 cup coconut oil
- 1/3 cup dates (soaked in warm water 10 min) or 1/3 cup honey
- juice from 1 lemon
- pinch sea salt
Mix coconut butter with coconut oil in food processor. Then add in sweetner & lemon juice. Do not overmix or oils will separate.
Optional – Topping:
- 1 cup walnuts, chopped
- 2 tbsp honey
- 1 tsp cinnamon
- pinch sea salt
Ice with frosting in the morning – top with honey/cinnamon walnuts.

These look delicious but are there supposed to be dates in actual roll part of the recipe? The instructions say to blend dates with the coconut but I’m not seeing dates in the ingredients list. Thanks!
