A quick & easy nourishing strawberry milkshake that reminds me of those Strawberry Nestle Quick Drinks that kids drank back in the good old days. This version is actually super good for you, full of calcium, nutrients & raw goodness with absolutely no artificial ingredients or dairy.
Sesame Strawberry Milkshake Recipe:
- 1/4 cup sesame seeds
- 1 1/2 cups water
- 1 cup fresh, dried or frozen strawberries*
- 2 medjool dates
- Drizzle of raw honey
- 4 – 5 ice cubes
Blend sesame seeds & water in a high speed blender. Add in strawberries & dates. Puree. Add in honey and ice cubes. Blend, serve & enjoy.
*You can substitute in any fruit. I also love using peaches!
One ounce of sesame seeds provides 28% of daily calcium requirements 23% of daily iron, and 4.7 grams of protein.

I’ve never tried sesame seeds in a smoothie. What a great idea! Thanks for sharing at Raw Foods Thursdays!
