Every week I find a new raw grain free recipe to fall in love with. This week it is all about this raw g-raw-nola for breakfast! This recipe will make a batch big enough to last the whole work week! Just mix it up late Sunday night before bed,and enjoy freshly made Granola Monday thru Friday! Goes so great with this raw homemade hazelnut milk.
Recipe:
- 1 cup dried shredded unsweetened coconut
- 1 vanilla bean, (use the insides only)
- 2 tsp cinnamon
- 2 pinch sea salt
- 1 cup raw sunflower seeds
- 1 cup raw almonds
- 1 cup raw walnuts
- 1/2 cup raisins
- 1/2 cup raw cacao nibs
- 1/4 cup ground flax seed meal
- 1/4 cup maple syrup
Mix coconut, vanilla bean, cinnamon, sea salt in a food processor for 60 seconds, until well blended and powdery. Add in remaining ingredients and pulse until well chopped & blended. Depending on the size of your food processor, you may have to do this in two batches. Dehydrate overnight at 115* for about 8 hours.
Keep in an airtight container. Serve with homemade hazelnut milk, blueberries, bananas, and any of your other favorite chopped fruits!
I must be getting into this because… I have all the ingredients in my new Anti-Inflammatory Pantry!!!!! You are awesome Andrea, er, um… I mean Betty! Thanks for the great raw-cipe! – Jenna
Jenna, you are so rawsome! I can’t wait to see what you make next!! xoxo
This looks so super amazing but I’m afraid to make it, lest I eat the whole batch in one or two sittings. But, my brand new dehydrator is in need of a new project… 😉
Do I leave in the oven for 8 hours too? I don’t have a dehydrator.
Hi Tracy,
Based on other recipes I have seen, you should be able to bake it at 350*F for 15-20 minutes, and the let it cool before storing in an airtight container. You can also eat this mixture totally raw without any dehydration, and it will taste great! The drying out just makes it resemble store bought granola more!
Holy cow, Betty. This granola is RAWKin’!! My husband has spondylitis and we’re trying the no-starch diet. He loves his granola in the morning and this recipe makes him so happy. Please come up with more recipes. 🙂
Yay! That makes me so happy to hear your hubby will enjoy this granola! It’s better than anything I have ever bought in the store!! So great with homemade hazelnut or almond milk too! I have so many more fun & delicious starch free (or very very low starch) recipes to get posted ~ stay tuned! ♥
